* Liberalisation of forest management regulations taking place in Lithuania

Good news for forest owners.
Today Minister of Environment of Lithania signed a documents on simplification of some regulations in forestry activities. That will simplify a bit existing very detail requirements of getting cutting permits for interm and sanitary felling, making a technological lines for roundwood extraction etc.
Forest Owners Association of Lithuania has initiated discussion on above changes last week when meeting with ministry officials to discuss problems in forest management in areas affected by storm.
